Review week 8

In our preview of week 8 we have made some prediction on how this sports week will turn out. Let's check if we were right:

Football Champions League: 

Boateng: Match winner!

Victory for Bayern Munich: Check! With a great match and a 1:3 win for Bayern, we can almost say "Welcome to the Quarter-Final of the Champions League Bayern Munich"

Victory for Barcelona: Not at all! What was that?! Thanks to goals from Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari, Milan has the chance to make it to the Quarter-Final of the Champions League.

Draw between Porto and Malaga: Not really. With only one goal behind, Malaga has still the chance to win on home ground and make it to the QF.

Dram between Galatacsaray and Schalke: Check! However this match might not count because Schalke have lodged a protest with Uefa over Galatasaray striker Didier Drogba's participation.

Rugby Six Nations 2013:

Victory for Wales: Check! A clear win over Italy with 9-26! With this victory, Wales still has the chance to win the 2013 Six Nations.

Victory for England: Check! With a 23-13 win over France, England still finds itself at the top of the table. 

We did not make a prediction for the last match between Scotland and Ireland, as we thought that this match will be very tight. It turned out to be tight, but Scotland was just that bit better and won 12-8.

FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2013:

Lamy Chappius: Best athlete so far!

Out of our six favorites four have already won one or more medals, namely Dario Cologna (Cross Country), Sara Takanashi, Gregor Schlierenzauer (both Ski Jumping)  and Jason Lamy Chappuis (Nordic Combined). Especially Jason Lamy Chappuis is having the Championships of his life! Out of two competitions so far he has won two gold medals.
