This extreme skating championship takes place on a parcour including jumps, sharp turns and slopes. This sport is called "Ice Cross Downhill".
This event was created by Red Bull and was presented for the first time in Stockholm, Sweden in 2001. Since then, the event is held annually in different cities of North America and Europe.
For the season 2012/2013, the stages of the world championship are Niagara Falls, Saint Paul, Landgraaf, Lausanne and Quebec.
On the indoor track Landgraaf the previous step, most of the favorites riders were out of the competition in the first two rounds and it is a novel quartet that was found in the final. In the end, the fate Switzerland Derek Wedge winner of a stunning final scenario and climbed to second place overall, just behind the world champion title Kyle Croxall. The Swiss will be pumped to the next stage, in front of his public in Lausanne!
