Last weekend was another weekend when the world witnessed the American culture transmitted with one of the biggest sport events of the season, the battle between the West and the East at the NBA All Star game. One of the must see events took place in Houston, Texas on Sunday night with a full stadium and lots of film stars and media celebrities taking part or simply watching and enjoying the show that the two teams were giving on the court.
After three years the centre of the attention was given to Alicia Keys, who was the halftime show performer of the night. Simple and elegant a show that was worth seeing! Although performing in Houston and three years later she dedicated her first song to New York, something she did as well in her 2010 NBA All Star Game performance in Dallas. Not rushing through the songs and taking her time she seemed pretty enjoying her time and comfortable performing in front of the full arena.
It can be seen that she fitted nicely her performance to the atmosphere of the game with a simple clothing nothing too extravagant with sneakers on, black sporty trousers and a black blouse, really sporty looking outfit. The music was simple and easy flowing from song to song with a good choice of her best and most famous songs she could combine in a perfect symphony. A show that no doubt was easy and smooth going with her dancers around her enjoying their time on the stage and the 10 min of pure entertainment that were dedicated to all the spectator and the crowd that had made their way to witness one magical night of the best basketball players mixed with music and great performance.
A nice 10 min that are worth seeing if you still haven´t had the opportunity to watch them! Just give it a try and you can be surprised!
